Clutch Hub

This hub for an industrial clutch is used to couple the motor to the clutch. It replaces a heavily machined part, resulting in substantial savings for the customer. The part is manufactured from a carbon-steel material, copper-infiltrated to meet strength requirements. After sintering, the part is resin-impregnated, zinc-plated, and treated with a yellow chromate process to increase corrosion resistance. Secondary operations include machining of the inside diameter to close tolerance and drilling and tapping of two holes into the keyways to accept set screws.
